Margery Coughlin Pawluk Cancer Fund
Many of you knew Margery. She was a loving wife and mother of three daughters. She worked at the Vetrerans Administration Medical Center in Canandaigua as a nurse for 15 years. Fourteen years ago, Margery lost her battle with lung cancer. It was then, that her family became aware of the need to help cancer patients and their families.
The Margery Coughlin Pawluk Cancer Patient Needs Fund was established in 2004 to help cancer patients who are undergoing active treatment and have identified financial constraints. This fund assists with the unexpected costs of a long illness - providing financial assistance for necessities such as groceries, automobile fuel for transportation to/from medical appointments, and specialized medical needs. Every dollar raised in this event will directly help many patients - right here in our own community.
